i was thinking of getting a tattoo of an eagle. i searched "eagle tattoos" on google images and found one on the second or first page i really liked. it looked like the eagle was tearing through this guys arm, but instead of blood depicted the 'flesh' was red white and blue, like the flag. i cant find it now and theres no way i could recreate it for a tattoo artist. help anyone? thanks.

Your best bet is to go to the tattoo artist and tell him or her what you are thinking. Most artists would prefer to create the drawing themselves or will likely have some flash of what you’re looking for. Taking the artist a pic of someone else’s tattoo isn’t always the best route unless you’re just giving them an idea because they won’t want to copy someone else’s art. Your tattooist will be able to work with you to come up with the best design. Just tell them what you want and let the process begin. You don’t have to take an image with you, just the idea and an open mind. Hopefully, you’ve searched around for an artist, have seen their style and examples of their work. I wouldn’t just find a pic and take it to your closest shop. Once you’ve found someone who does the style you like, work with them to refine your idea into a tattoo friendly design.
