Eagle Tattoo?

I want to get a photo realistic tattoo of an eagle, but I am not American - I am English. Would you think it is strange for an English person to get an eagle?
I have had the idea of an eagle tattoo since I was about 12, and it represents a lot of Buy Xenical Online things to me. I have also always been fascinated with America and the American way of life, so it partly represents that as well.
What do you think?

No I would not think it was weird at all. It also depends on the picture you use. There is a pose that looks like the american symbol.
But no if you want it you shouldn’t let other people stop you.
I would like one, but unlike you don’t want it to look American. And I myself was wondering if it was strange for an English person to get an eagle. Most designs I’ve seen look like American Eagles. If it means something to you it will look cool.

I think that if you want an eagle tattoo, you should get an eagle tattoo. As others have said, tons of (probably most) people have tattoos that have been inspired by nationalities which are not their own.
If you would feel more comfortable avoiding the American issue, though, why not just get a different kind of eagle? There are plenty of types other than the bald eagle, and they’re all beautiful (here’s a cool one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Steinadler_Aquila_chrysaetos_closeup1_Richard_Bartz.jpg). That might take away part of your double meaning, but it’s a matter of what you’re more comfortable with. Good luck to you.

no one has ever said anything bad about any of them and i’m looking at a dragon for my 4th one!
beware tattooing becomes addictive. even my mum has 2 and she was 60 when she got her 1st one!
Why do you think it may be strange? It is a very beautiful bird. I don’t think it would be any different than an American with an English bulldog tattooed on them (which I have seen plenty of) or a Chinese Dragon, or Polynesian tribal art or Mayan tribal art.
It is great that you want a tattoo with such symbolism and meaning for you. It would be even better if you could find a way to get it done in the US to add to your tattoo’s story and meaning.

I’m in exactly the same situation. I have a design of an eagle with a torn American flag behind it. I am British and alot of people have questioned the idea but its something i want and im goining to get. Just trying to get £180 for it. I already have a NY Giants (American Football Team) tattoo on my shoulder.

It is your body, your skin, Your choice Sounds like you have considered this carefully. Next step, go and speak to several Artists, they can advise you on placement, size, etc. Some of mine are Native American Tattoos and I am proud to have them because they have been well considered and they have meanings to me as well.
As long as it holds a special meaning to you and you’re sure it’s something you want as a part of you for the rest of your life, then it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. I have Chinese symbols on me and I’m not Chinese! So go for it!

Not a problem. I do think the style is dated though. It was hot in the 80 – 90’s. Not so much anymore.
get what u want, its ur body u have to be happy with it. Get a tat of an eagle, but don’t get it in the same pose as the eagle that represents america is in. so then it can represent what u want it to, but no one will bash you for copying
