I am looking more specifically for a butterfly tattoo with some other tribal like artwork around it but I am still kinda looking for some ideas. Thanks.

I don't know about how the chlorine will affect it. But I do know that when you have a tattoo, you're supposed to make sure that you put sunscreen on it when you're in the sun, as it will fade the colors.
I have a tattoo, and wish I had never gotten it, but that's just me.

You need to go back to that artist asap. I got a staph infection with a tattoo i had, and it messed my tattoo up completley. It faded and looks like crap.If there is no way to fix this, you should still go to the artist and see if you can get it touched up once the infection is gone, free of charge.
