They don't hold a candle to the largest arachnid alive, the Goliath Bird Eater Spider, Theraphosa blondi, which gets upwards of 30cm (12 inch) and 120 grams (4.2 ounce or just over 1/4 of a pound). *added, the giant sea scorpion wasn't really a scorpion. It was a eurypterid, which were not even arachnids! They were relatives of arachnids though, in the same subphylum.
